ANTHONY RICHARD, 22 YEARS OLD – MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS (AHL)
Richard has been growing every season and no wonder he was the one reminded to be the cover to our injuries last season. It wouldn't be a surprise if it happens again because alongside Rem Pitlick, they are the closest NHL players in my opinion, not to mention Tolvanen. Ricky had his career-high last season, when he recorded 47P 24G 23A in 73 games and led Milwaukee in goals and points and had impressive growth in every aspect of the game, especially defensively, even if that was his weak side. Today you can see him catching the puck and starting plays, making good transitions. Richard is very fast, has a very strong shot and an excellent pass beyond versatile. It wouldn’t be surprise if he beat his numbers from last season. Although I would rather see him on NHL or Rem Pitlick rather than Daniel Carr, I believe the NHL Draft 2015
fourth round choice could contribute very well.
EELI TOLVANEN, 20 YEARS OLD – MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS (AHL)
Tolvanen in my opinion is a waste to leave him another year in the American Hockey League, he might as well be in the NHL and contribute more than Calle Järnkrok for example, but I understand when not using it is about the Draft of Expansion to Seattle and he does not become eligible and passes to a player to be protected. Tolvanen has grown formidably in its weak aspects, improved its defensive performance, offensive drive, physical play, edge of the ice, initiating moves, making transitions, performing very well in the 3 ice zones, not to mention being a sniper of excellent quality. Although his production may not have been as expected last season 35P 15G 20A, but he was the second highest scorer among players under 20. I believe he can surrender more as he played freely at KHL that favored his game. Karl Taylor's focus is on developing it on weaknesses and it was of great value. Today he plays in the third row, a mistake, but from the side he likes. Considering its growth, which is what really matters was huge, but I would like to see it in the second row next to Matt Duchene.
EGOR AFANASYEV, 18 YEARS OLD – WINDSOR SPITFIRES (OHL)
ISAK WALTHER, 18 YEARS OLD – SÖDERTÄLJE (SUPERELIT)
Chosen from the last NHL Draft in the sixth round, Isak Walther does not maintain the same performance as his last season, summing up his spells with Södertälje's under-18 and under-20 team as he records 46P 25G 21A in 40 games, not counting 6 goals in 8 games in playoffs. Despite being a high winger, he has speed and skill, yet has a production so far with 5 points in 15 games, but the young showed potential.
JUUSO PÄRSSINEN, 18 YEARS OLD – (JR. A SM-LIIGA)
Needless to say, Pärssinen does not surprise me much, I am still meeting the boy, but I confess that the broadcasts of this league is a horror to follow, camera positioning and video quality. He has recorded 22P 13G 9A in 36 games last season for the TPS U20 and the international junior tournament for the Finnish U18 15P 9G 6A team in 24 games. These are not negligible numbers. The team's alternate captain already has 7 points from 8 games this season. The player is the last NHL Draft's choice in round 7.
YAKOV TRENIN, 22 ANOS - MILWAUKEE ADMIRALS (AHL)
Karl Taylor has undoubtedly recovered the boy, although he didn’t have an impressive production in last season, 33P 14G 19A, it is considerable if you remember that he had a completely disappointing season as a rookie in the American Hockey League 16P in 44 games when he faced difficulties and some personal problems. Taylor managed to get the boy an upgrade, although he is not the same of the Gatineau Olympiques (QMJHL) times, he is undoubtedly having a better moment and was even remembered by the Preds to play NHL, mistakenly in my opinion when there are another players ahead of him. Yakov is
an excellent skater, has a good shot and puck control, improved his weak defensive performance, the problems was foolish penalties, but if you consider all the context, you look at Trenin's as a player with some nice characteristics.
